Junior Portfolio Manager
Maricar joined PFG in August 2022 as part of the Portfolio team primarily responsible for assisting Investment Managers in monitoring and controlling global portfolios across multiple investment funds.
Before the start of her journey in PFG, Maricar has put in contributory work as one of the consultants assisting a client in its IPO listing in US Stock Exchange. She brings in solid work audit experience from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the big four auditing firms. After PwC, she ventured into strategic cost management and control, finance and accounting in the areas of receivable management, treasury, payroll and corporate and estate taxation, corporate compliance and reporting of media advertising and information technology companies.
Maricar is a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2015, she obtained her Certified Management Accountant designation. She is currently studying and focused on earning a Juris Doctor degree and passing the Bar Examinations in the Philippines to be able to represent business people and taxpayers in a competent court of jurisdiction.
Maricar advocates for redeeming Filipino culture and heritage. She supports local artists and enthusiasts in the promotion of indigenous works, craft and apparel.
