Ben Greenspan

Ben Greenspan

Outside General Counsel

Ben has served as General Counsel to PFG since the inception of PFG in 2004. Ben brings experience from large firm practice in securities and banking to boutique firm experience focused in general corporate practice, as well as handling a banking, finance and transactional practice in Asia.

Prior to PFG, Ben was General Counsel for the ChinaVest group of private equity Funds based in San Francisco and Hong Kong, where he handled the documentation transactions in the U.S. and greater China. Previously, Ben held CEO roles at a technology company and a telecommunications service company. Ben also handled venture finance matters on an outside counsel basis for Hambrecht & Quist and JP Morgan Chase after its acquisition of H&Q, along with many technology clients through his years of practice.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley Law School.

Ben is an avid traveler, cultivating lifelong professional relationships and one-of-a-kind stories. He’s a scuba diving wildlife photographer, capturing interactions with dwarf Minke whales off the Great Barrier Reef and humpback whales in Tonga.

But perhaps his most rare feat is being the only person to ever ski down California St. in San Francisco on roller skis. (*legal claim pending)

“I’ve been working with PFG since its inception. While we’ve grown significantly, both in numbers and geographic scope, the collegial, family feel has always been maintained.”
