Jason Georgatos

President

Jason has spent over 20 years working with technology and growth companies and has developed a passion for helping entrepreneurial companies succeed. He has played an integral role in all aspects of the PFG business since the foundation of the firm in 2004. Jason is based in Sydney, Australia and helps lead the firm’s activities globally.

Jason relocated from the Bay Area to Sydney in 2016 to lead PFG’s activities in APAC after a decade of transaction experience in Australia and countless transpacific flights. He managed the launch of PFG’s business in Australia to ensure the PFG philosophies and execution strategies are core to PFG’s APAC activities. Prior to joining PFG, Jason provided financing for technology and life science companies at Silicon Valley Bank in San Francisco.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford.

Jason is a board member for several Australian tech companies as well as an E.O. Sydney chapter member

Jason is a life-long learner, and at one time was on his way to becoming a history professor before finding his passion for technology finance. He might not even need much of a nudge to pen the history of tech finance. Jason is proud and passionate about his Greek heritage and Greek culture. He tries to get back to his father’s birthplace, the island of Kefalonia, yearly and enjoys traveling with his wife and two children.

“Meeting the needs of fast growing companies while also managing risk and making money for our investors is a balancing act that requires out-of-the-box thinking. PFG is an exciting place to work because of how willing this team is to find that balance and create win-win solutions. That’s one of the reasons I’ve been here for nearly 20 years.”
